Terms of Service

1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] ("Furbinder", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Furbinder app or website (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Furbinder is not veterinary care
THE SERVICE DOES NOT PROVIDE VETERINARY ADVICE, DIAGNOSIS, OR TREATMENT. Furbinder is an informational and organizational tool. AI-generated content — including symptom triage levels, chat responses, document extractions, and care reminders — may be incomplete or inaccurate and must never be relied on as a substitute for the professional judgment of a licensed veterinarian.
If you believe your pet is experiencing an emergency, contact a veterinarian or emergency animal hospital immediately. Never delay seeking professional care because of anything in the Service.
3. Eligibility and your account
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.
- You are responsible for your login credentials and all activity under your account.
- Information you provide must be accurate; the quality of reminders and AI features depends on it.
4. Subscriptions and billing
- Free plan — 1 pet, limited document uploads, basic reminders and standard AI features.
- Premium — $7.99/month or $59.99/year, billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play (in-app purchases) or, for purchases made on our website, through RevenueCat with Stripe as the payment processor — with unlimited pets and uploads, advanced reminders, priority AI, family sharing, and export.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel anytime in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings (or, for web purchases, via the subscription management link in the app); access continues through the end of the paid period.
- Prices may change with at least [30] days' notice; changes apply from your next renewal.

5. Your content
You own the records, photos, and other content you upload. You grant us a limited, revocable license to host and process that content solely to operate and improve the Service (including AI processing described in the Privacy Policy). We never sell your content. You can export or delete it at any time (Settings → Data & privacy).
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service unlawfully, or to harm any person or animal;
- upload content you lack rights to, or that contains malware;
- probe, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the Service;
- resell the Service or misrepresent AI output as professional veterinary advice;
- circumvent usage limits or access another user's data.
7. AI features
AI output is generated automatically and probabilistically. You must review extracted document data before saving it, and nothing is written to your pet's record without your confirmation. Triage levels indicate suggested urgency only; they are not a diagnosis, and section 2 always applies.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, and content (excluding your content), belongs to Furbinder and its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for its intended purpose.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE. [COUNSEL: JURISDICTION-SPECIFIC CARVE-OUTS]
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FURBINDER WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY INJURY TO OR LOSS OF AN ANIMAL ARISING FROM RELIANCE ON THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR US $100. [COUNSEL: CONSUMER-LAW LIMITS BY JURISDICTION]
11. Indemnification
You will indemnify and hold Furbinder harmless from claims arising out of your content, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.
12. Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice where practicable. Sections that by their nature survive termination (2, 5, 8–11, 13) survive.
13. Governing law and disputes
