Delete your account & data
You can delete your Furbinder account and everything in it yourself, at any time, from inside the app — no email, no waiting on us. If you no longer have the app, you can ask us to do it for you (below).
Option 1 — In the app (instant)
- Open Furbinder and sign in.
- Go to Profile → Settings (the gear icon).
- Under Data & privacy, tap Delete account & all data.
- Confirm. You are signed out immediately and the deletion starts.

Option 2 — By request
If you can't access the app, email privacy@furbinder.com from the address you signed up with, with the subject "Delete my Furbinder account". We verify it's really you (a one-time code to that email) and process it within 30 days, usually much sooner. We confirm by email when it's done.
What gets deleted
- Your account and sign-in credentials (email/password, Apple or Google link).
- Every pet profile you own: photos, medical records, uploaded documents and their extracted data, vaccinations, medications, conditions, weights, vet visits, reminders.
- Symptom-check and chat conversations, vet-visit prep reports.
- Family-sharing invitations you sent, and your access to pets others shared with you.
- Push-notification tokens and notification history.
- Support messages you sent us.
Pets that someone else owns and shared with you are not deleted — only your access to them is removed. Their owner keeps their own record.
What we keep, and for how long
- Subscription and payment records (from Apple, Google or our billing provider) are kept for the period required by tax and accounting law, then deleted. They contain no pet health data.
- Security and audit logs that reference your account id are kept for up to 90 days, then purged.
- Encrypted backups roll off automatically within 30 days; deleted data is not restored from backups.
- Aggregate, de-identified analytics (for example, "how many scans succeeded this week") contain no personal data and are not affected.
Timeline
In-app deletion removes your data from our live systems immediately and finishes background clean-up (files, backups) within 30 days. Requests by email are completed within 30 days of verification. This meets the account-deletion requirements of Google Play and the Apple App Store, as well as GDPR / CCPA.
